The Threat of Hydroxic Acid

Statement issued by the ROWSHA public awareness committee.

There is a great deal of trust put in the government to protect its citizens from all manner of distresses. General health is one of the greatest concerns of all nations. Even the United Nations has a "World Health Organization" to fight disease and other health problems. However, there is one major problem that is being overlooked. Hydroxic acid, a chemical composed mainly of acidified hydroxide ions, has been discovered in many major city water supplies in several countries including all the countries in North America and several in Asia.

Rid Our Water Supplies of Hydroxic Acid (ROWSHA) is a growing organization committed to expose this great threat to the public. Hydroxic acid can truely be one of the most devistating chemicals humanity has ever encountered. It is known as the "universal solvent" in chemistry circles because it disolves more substances than any other acid known to man. It can take as little as a tablespoon to kill an adult. Excedingly numerous deaths have direcly been attributed to this substance every year.

Hydroxic acid is one of the substances in automobile emissions, and can be detected in every coal burning furnace. This dreadful substance, also found in airplane exhaust, is the main byproduct of rocket fuel. Due to the prevalence of this substance in the atmosphere, many billions of dollars of property damage occur every year. Many people have been forced to leave their homes because of the dangerously high levels of this substance. Just within the last decade, literally millions upon millions of people have lost their lives, sometime as quickly as a hundred thousand people in a few days.

Nuclear power plants and other reacters produce radioactive hydroxic acid as a byproduct. This substance is always fatal when enough is present in drinking water. It's halflife is over twelve years.

Even when in the great outdoors, the overwhelming abundance of this substance invading our natural tranquility has caused innumerable problems and even death. The chances of death by exposure are greatly enhanced when this chemical is present.

Inhaling this chemical is usually fatal. Even more allarming is the fact that this chemical vaporizes at room temperature. It is now pervading the rain water and is prevalent in the snowbanks on the tops of the mountains, the stored water which forms the source of our rivers and lakes.

Many great statues, like Michelangelo's "David" are being slowly eaten away by this substance. According to most geologists, this substance has caused more destruction on the earth than any other chemical. A large enough supply of this substance can render farmland utterly desolate. It has been known to eat through solid rock. Hydroxic acid has even been used commercially as a powerful cutting tool by focusing large quantities of it along a narrow line.

Our oceans are now known to contain a great deal of hydroxic acid. It is a proven fact that our beaches and shorelines are being eaten away by this substance. Some seaside cities like Venice, Italy are in impending danger from the presence of this substance in the ocean water. This danger increases at an alarming rate every year. Many coastal cities have already experienced disasters due to the presence of too much hydroxic acid.

When hydroxic acid is found in its solid state, it has been known to devistate farmlands. Entire crops have been lost. It also has been a factor in the death of cattle and other farm animals. Hydroxic acid solidifies often into sharp crystals and dagger-like formations. Solid hydroxic acid deposites on roads have directly and indirectly caused innumerable traffic accidents and cost many lives. Deposits on mountain sides are the cause of death for skiers, mountain climbers, hikers, and many others who visit these otherwise beautiful locations.

This chemical is also occurs in some comets. Most scientists believe that all comets contain at least a trace of hydroxic acid, as well as many other chemicals like formaldehyde and ammonia. Some even believe that a high percentage of hydroxic acid in the comet that killed off the dinosaurs made it possible for global wildfires to destroy nearly all the plant life at the end of the cretacious period.

The direct effects of hydroxic acid only form a part of the problem. Vaporized hydroxic acid releases enormous ammounts of heat when it collects around the dust particles found in clouds. This heat can cause violent weather patterns and high winds.

Hydroxic acid is also extremely dangerous when near an electric current. Many electrical fires and disasters have occurred because of this chemical. It can even destroy most electrical appliances and electronic devices.

Most strains of bacteria thrive when exposed to this terrible substance. It has been the means by which many diseases have spread. Many microbes have utilized the presence of hydroxic acid to attack the respiratory system. Even some dreaded viruses and retroviruses like the AIDS virus spread readily only when in the presence of this chemical. In fact, it has been found in the lymph nodes of almost every cancerous lab rat.

Of all these problems, the most frightning part is the fact that the government continues to ignore the numerous dangers of this terrible chemical. Scientist have known of hydroxic acid and its properties for centuries. Still, most of the major organizations of the world have taken little preventative action. They prefer to clean up the mess after tragedy strikes rather than to attack the source of the problem.

It is the desire of ROWSHA to deal with this problem in a more pro-active manner. This problem should be cut off at the source. Hydroxic acid can easily be destroyed by a process called electrolysis. The unfortunate side effect of this process is the creation of extremely volatile gasses that can recombine into hydroxic acid with a viloent explosion. ROWSHA believes that if every producer of hydroxic acid was required to limit the emmisions in the same way other dangerous substances are restricted, the problem may begin to subside. The eventual goal is to completely rid our water supplies of this dreadful substance. But even just a little progress is a good thing. Just remember to write your congressman about your concerns and be heard. Maybe then we can make the world a safer place for future generations.
